Roller Shutter Door Remote — 4 Button Keyring Handset, AC Motors

A spare or replacement keyring handset for an AC roller shutter door. Four buttons — up, stop, down and lock — on a brushed steel face, in a glossy black body with a chrome edge band and a keyring loop.

The lower half is a sliding cover. Push it down and the buttons are shielded, so the door does not open because the remote shifted in a pocket or a handbag. It is a small thing that saves a lot of nuisance.

Buy one when a handset has been lost, dropped or soaked, when a second driver or a staff member needs their own, or when you simply want a spare in a drawer before you need it.

You set it up yourself — no programming, no call-out

This handset is DIP switch coded. Open the battery cover and there is a small bank of switches inside. Set them to the same pattern as the remote you already have, close it up, and it works. No learn button, no timing sequence to get right, no installer.

If you have lost every remote and cannot copy a pattern from one, the same switches are inside the receiver — set the handset to match that instead.

Will it work on my door?

Yes, if your existing remote has DIP switches inside it. That is the system fitted to our AC motors and to most roller shutter doors in South Africa, and this handset will copy it.

It will not pair with a rolling-code remote — one with no switches inside, that has to be learned to the receiver by pressing a button on it. If you open yours and there are no switches, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you what you need instead.

No receiver on the door yet?

A handset on its own does nothing without a receiver wired to the motor. If the door has no remote control at all:

• WiFi & Bluetooth Controller with 2 Remotes — R1,299. Adds phone control as well as remotes.

Delivery

R150 courier fee, anywhere in South Africa, shown at checkout. Accessories on the same order ship for one flat R150 however many you add, and an order that also includes a motor pays the per-motor fee plus one R150. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and delivered door-to-door with tracking.

Warranty

One year against defects in materials and workmanship, from the invoice date. The battery is consumable and carries a 3-month warranty. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, not instead of them.
